I have had great results inserting effects into its loop - mini deja-vibe, electric mistress - anything that adds overtones and movement. I usually have mine second to last in my chain - just before my DD7, after all other dirt, octave, other delay and mod pedals. It is a unique beast with many reaction nuances. The SuperEgo+ may not be the perfect solution for you - I do not know which specific sounds you have in your mind's ear - but it may very well be a great solution. If you use the pog2 what modulation effect (other than chorus) would you recommend (besides reverb and delay) to change its inherited tone - bit crushing (ie meris pedal ottobit jr), phaser, flanger? Lastly, would you recommend the pitchfactor or hog2 over the superego considering polyphony and more than organ tones are what is sought after? does anyone out there use the superego after a boost/fuzz pedal (in my case, the brothers) with good results - the effects on it will be sort of useless on their own if i put them pre brothers. with the attack fully ccw, short decay, the latching mode with a low threshold to pick up nptes, can it work well to produce synth like tones WHILE PLAYING LINES - as in does it track your playing? does the the superego do octaves (via detune, pitch effects), albeit single octaves, as well as pog2 (tracking)? PS a colleague has a pog2 and i think i will hopefully have a chance to experiment with that. "only" octaves to play with and no expression pedal contro BUT IT HAS PRESETS on the pedal - i might discover that is exactly what i need or that i need a pog2 plus another modulation pedal (considering flanger or bit crusher) and that is enough. Reasons why I do not lean towards the pog2 currently: ability to use/experiment extra effects i do not have on my board, mainly phaser and flanger, pitch shifting and detune ability to experiment with detune and octave (though just one) for the first time in my board via its effects - i know the pog2 could give me much more in this realm but i am still not convinced octaves are the sounds i am looking for interesting use of latching to generate potential synth like tones or add something weird/wonderful (i focus on 80s and post-rock sounds) unmatched elsewhere out-width my looper, all is midi controlled (maybe you can guess the pedals i have, but i can simplify by saying chaseblissx2, eventidex1, source audiox1). [my current board - od/fuzz/boost, chorus, delay, reverb and looper. Hog2 and pitchfactor/H9 are out of my price range currently but I also am not sure I am confident about polyphony tracking and sounds outwidth organ respectively regarding both. I ruled out monophonic pedals because i want to use the pedal in live situations and i worry that i will trigger some glitch only too often while performing. In trying to make some guitar driven synth-like tones (not exactly be a synth), i was torn between pog2, pog micro, pitch fork, monophonic synth sounds (ie pigtronix mothership 2) and eqd pedals. a pedal with synth tones that go beyond organ sounds, which has polyphony and midi with presets (tracking really well too) Ideal word (emphasis on the word ideal here or fantastic bc i am not sure this exists)
